Ballroom Records, spearheaded by Berlin duo, Kaiser Souzai is set to release their first compilation, dropping on June 24th, 2016. Exemplifying the Berlin underground with some of the rawest techno cuts out there and nurturing a growing roster of musical talent, Ballroom won’t disappoint with this ingenious collection of originals and remixes, some already part of their catalogue and others completely unreleased and exclusive.
A total of 12 tracks, Kaiser Souzai have wasted no time in getting it right. Showcasing a selection of their back catalogue, German duo Zakari & Blange make an appearance with the atmospheric, ‘Upper’, alongside fellow German native, Ben Champell’s rhythmic and trippy, ‘The Dark Streets Of Berlin’, and not to forget Slovakian and Austrian duo, Dezibell’s tribal percussion infused ‘Elbrus’. Kaiser Souzai themselves have also lent their productions, with past releases such as their unique homage to the 90’s techno classic, ‘The First Rebirth 3.0’, their energetic re-hash of Josh Vox’s ‘Blumen Der Verzweiflung’ and of course, their collaboration last year with Spanish mastermind, Alberto Ruiz with ‘Tarzan’, a momentous dance floor killer.
Always one to give back, the Ballroom compilation includes 3 unreleased tracks including an underworldly remix of Kaiser Souzai’s ‘Love’ from Zakari & Blange, a deep and ethereal remix of Kaiser Souzai’s ‘Love’ from Berlin producer who is signed to Erick Morillo’s mighty ‘Subliminal’ label, Junolarc and last but not least, a melodic remix from Stefan Mint’s Techno-alias Lindwood of Kaiser Souzai’s ‘Mr Lurk’.
The first of it’s kind, Ballroom’s debut compilation sets the bar high with both it’s catalogue of quality releases and an exciting taste of what is yet to come.
