Spanish producer, Del Horno takes the reigns on Ballroom Music’s next release with a double track EP titled ‘Confusion’ featuring the talented Andres Blows. The energetic EP consists of ‘Coming Back’, an addictive concoction of rolling basslines, catchy vocal cut-ups, raw synths and chunky drum edits, followed by ‘God Job’ featuring Andrew Blows, the perfect b-side with it’s ethereal soundscapes, dramatic builds and powerful kicks. Another strong package to drop on the expanding label who seem to be setting the standard of influential techno.
Born in Barcelona, Del Horno’s music career started in the 80’s after which he continued to make a name for himself by playing famous venues such as ‘Comics’ and ‘Verdi’, while at the same time becoming involved in the major After Hours scene in Barcelona – ‘DB’ and ‘Kodigo’ to name a few. Del Horno’s residency at the famous “Chasis” in Mataro, was to be the most important in terms of his professional career. For the next 9 years in Chasis, he achieved major success and his reputation spread throughout Spain, alongside which he became the label boss of Tune of Vale Music. Also part of his vibrant history, Del Horno took part in every one of the Megaplecs, organized by the radio station Flaix F.M. where he played to audiences in excess of 50.000 people. He was also a resident at the Louie Vega club in Barcelona for 2 years as well as one of the DJ’s at the party Café Ole at SPACE Ibiza and Bisou-Sabadell. A colourful past with an even brighter future, Del Horno continues to rise in recognition with ‘Confusion’ set to be a solid stomper on the dancefloor.
Kaiser Souzai’s Ballroom imprint continues to impress with it’s first-rate releases. ‘Confusion’ will be released on Ballroom Records in October 2016.
